Hiya!

I’m Hannah, 22, from Chorley. I’ve had a pencil in my hand for as long as I can remember. I love creating what’s missing from the world and how a painting can mean something completely different to everyone who sees it.

My childhood was surrounded by family and friends, stomping regularly up Rivington Pike and painting in Nan’s garden. Raised by our wonderful mum, my brother and I have grown up on music festivals and art gallery filled trips to mad places like China and New York. I’m very lucky to come from such a vibrant bunch.

Art was my escape in school, and I’m learning that my dyslexic brain is actually a strength, contrary to what the education system had me believing. My creative thinking and visual learning have shaped the way I see, understand, and create.

In recent years Ive been living and working with my lovely pal in Ullswater, in the Lake District, the best silly, random decision I’ve ever made. We spend our days mooching up the fells, playing jazz to cows, and soaking up the crazy, inspiring landscapes. I hope to convey the breathtaking beauty of the lakes in my paintings and my absolute love for it. I paint without a plan from pictures and sketches until I feel I’ve captured the spirit of the place.

Inspired by Chorley
