The Quiet Site, Watermillock, May 2026
Excited to be working on the other side of the glass, I swapped pizza cutters for paint brushes to create an information filled display, replacing the chalkboards and celebrating what The Quiet Bite has to offer. I included illustrations of local farmers who provide fresh produce, set among mountains, trees, and a coffee carrying Land Rover.
I mixed most of the colours and outlined them with white to match the lettering. I hope the piece has a warm and personable feel that customers can enjoy while they wait and that it reflects the friendly welcoming atmosphere of the site. It also shares information about the mugs, plates, and how things are done a little differently to keep things clean and low waste.
I am very thankful to my lovely new employers for giving me creative license and letting me get creative, although I am sure I will be tweaking things on the regular!
