Whimsy Spring Book Shop Window

Verey Book Shop, Pooley Bridge, January 2026

ack at Very Book Shop with a freshly painted window. This one is a whimsical, romantic piece featuring geese and boxing hares, immersed in patterns that evoke folklore and countryside tale vibes.

I kept the colours soft and muted to give the shop a gentle spring feel, finishing it off with fresh leaves and blossoming flower buds to bring an optimistic sense of the season changing.

As ever, it was a joy to work amongst the bookshop customers, who were lovely and inquisitive.

I hope the paintings enjoyed as much as I enjoyed the tomato soup :)
